SOURCES & NOTES
Final drivers’ championship standings for 1950–2025, downloaded from the Jolpica F1 API (the Ergast successor). Choose Top 10, Top 20, or All positions. Top 20 is the default. All positions includes every numerical championship rank available in the source, through P29. Unclassified and disqualified entries have no numerical rank and are not assigned invented positions. Career lines only join consecutive seasons present in the selected view. Searching for a driver outside the current limit automatically expands the view. Historical same-constructor comparisons may include different privateer entrants.
Locally bundled photographs are shown where an identified source is available; initials mark unavailable historical portraits. Official Formula 1 images are supplemented by credited Wikimedia photographs for historical drivers. These are reference portraits, not season-specific photographs. Team rings represent the constructor for that season; multiple rings and badges indicate a mid-season team change. Team colors are representative identity colors, not an exact historical livery archive. Text badges identify teams when a suitable official logo is unavailable.
The team slicer highlights one complete team history while keeping positions fixed. Current team histories use their latest 2026 short name and logo; the discontinued-team dropdown uses each lineage’s final name. Historical cards keep the original team identity. Search by three-letter code, full name, or surname, then choose a suggestion. Hover a driver to trace their displayed championship finishes. Gaps indicate seasons without a championship entry. Click or press Enter to select a driver, compare their teammates in every visible season, and open the floating detail panel. Teammate labels show championship places ahead of or behind the selected driver in that same season. Shared team identities are compared across the whole season, including replacements and team changes; they do not necessarily mean the drivers raced together at the same event. NC / DSQ entries have no numerical gap. Click outside the focus panel to clear the selection, or close the panel or press Escape. Clicking another driver selects that driver. Cards use bold three-letter codes from the official Formula 1 results archive; full names and points are shown in the focus panel. The slicer groups renamed teams by organizational continuity, including takeovers; teammate comparisons still use each season’s actual constructor. The archive remains fixed at 1950–2025.
Data and images are bundled locally. No account, API key or internet connection is needed to explore. F1 and team marks belong to their respective owners. This independent personal prototype uses an F1/FIA-inspired visual style and is not affiliated with Formula 1 or the FIA.
Team continuity follows the official F1 team family tree. Slicer logos come from Formula1.com and historical Wikipedia / Wikimedia team-logo files.
